From 1997-2007, Craig J. Tiedemann was groomed and trained by two of Boston's most prestigious "Big Firms," where he gained extensive, invaluable experience handling complex business disputes for sophisticated companies of all shapes and sizes, and representing individuals with important, complicated problems.
During his 10-year big-firm tenure, Craig's practice emphasized construction litigation, involving projects ranging from Boston's infamous "Big Dig" and the Logan International Airport renovations, to routine public and private project disputes, both commercial and residential. Craig also handled contract and property disputes for companies in various professions, industries and trades - from the publicly-held, Fortune 100 powerhouse to the sole proprietorship or small, closely-held family-run entity.
In early 2007, Craig left the confines of big-firm practice and started Tiedemann Law Firm, a niche litigation practice offering the same high-level business and individual client service he always has, but at more reasonable and affordable rates. Craig also enjoys handling smaller and more routine matters for individuals and businesses. At TLF, Craig is able to offer clients the rare but effective advantage of bringing big-firm trained/experienced litigation firepower to their problems, whether complicated or routine. These advantages - which are rarely available at affordable rates (can, and often do) bring about more favorable results for Craig's clients.
The past four years - 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 - Craig was voted one of Boston's "Rising Stars" "Super Lawyers" by Boston Magazine and Law & Politics, distinctions conferred on less than 2.5% of eligible attorneys. The awards are especially notable because voting was by opposing counsel, judges, and others unaffiliated with the lawyers they nominate.
Craig has extensive trial experience in both Superior and District Court - all of it as lead trial counsel - in numerous business dispute cases, most of which were multi-day or multi-week affairs. In every trial but one, Craig won the full amount of damages sought for his clients; and, in one case, the jury actually awarded $50,000 more than the full amount requested.
Craig has also tried criminal cases. During his years in the firms, Craig was loaned to the District Attorney's Office, where he tried 14 criminal cases to verdict. Craig's "win-rate" during this time was higher than the office average. |
